Hinkson Creek Pedestrian Trail Bridges
Columbia, MO

Allstate Consultants completed the civil, hydraulic, and structural design and construction administration of five custom designed 90’ to 200’ single span pedestrian truss bridges using weathering steel and to model the old railroad bridges along the Missouri River and along Hinkson Creek.  The project also included an evaluation and rehabilitation of a historic bridge.  The first phase of the Hinkson Creek Trail Project was completed for the City of Columbia and connects the Grindstone Nature Area parking lot to Capen Park.  Phase two was completed for the University of Missouri and connects to the MU Recreation Trail at the Hinkson Creek Recreation Area.  These projects were partially funded by MoDOT Enhancement funds.
