Gans Road Culvert

A large box culvert was needed under the new section of Gans Road just east of Route 63.  The existing terrain required the use of a steep culvert with potentially erosive conditions at the downstream end.  Allstate Consultants designed internal roughness elements in the downstream end of the culvert to reduce the outlet velocity and protect the interchange ramp slope without causing an increase in the culvert headwater elevations.
